How to find the right SAP component for Brazil

The component narrows a search for Brazil notes to the ones that matter, and it sends your incident straight to the SAP team that handles it. Picking the wrong one costs days.

Why it matters

One field decides who reads your incident

When you search for notes or open an incident in the SAP support portal (support.sap.com, now part of SAP for Me), the component tells SAP which product area you mean. Brazil has its own components, separate from the global FI, MM and SD ones.

In S/4HANA the Brazil components sit under FI-LOC-…-BR. Older ECC notes and incidents used XX-CSC-BR-…, so you will meet both names in notes.

SAP renames and splits components over time. The current list is in Note 1904179, Brazil: how to identify the correct component for support.

Opening an incident

Four habits that get faster answers

1

Pick the step where it breaks. An NF-e rejected after billing is an NF-e problem, not a sales one. A wrong tax on the PO is MM.

2

Search notes first, by component. Most Brazil errors already have a note, often a legal change with a deadline.

3

Attach the evidence. The NF-e access key, the XML, the SEFAZ status code and message, and the steps to reproduce.

4

Write it in English. Brazil incidents can be handled by teams outside Brazil. Keep the Portuguese terms, explain them once.
